Identity of gun

Welcome to the Forum. I assume it is a 38 Special gun? I suspect a post-factory re-plating, but not certain with your pictures. The MOP stocks are not factory since they show as very thin. Distributors often put pearl stocks on guns they receive to fill orders. The serial number indicates that the gun left the factory in 1922. I am curious if the right side of the frame under the cylinder has a stamping "MADE IN USA". Also, check the bottom barrel flat for the serial number and a "B" stamped as well?
