Groo here
As the GP100 has been converted to a 6 shot 10mm, I see no reason
a 6 shot L frame would not work.
Moon clips would be a must ,allowing the fastest reload.
Also moon clips would allow 40 short and weak to be used for pratice
and lighter loads.
Ps . the 2 3/4 barrel [like the m-69] would be fine.
A 41 mag on the 2 3/4 m-69 would be a" have to buy"

No. Two similar but different calibers. 10 mm and .40 could be used in the same gun. A six shot .41 mag is not doable in the L frame. A .41 Special is, however. Just got to get someone to develop SAMMI specs and load it.

The Model 646 L frame 6 shot .40 S&W did not sell. However, it demonstrated that six 10 mm size cartridges fit in an L frame without resorting to to the Model 69s yoke and ejector assemblies. I voted L for an L frame.

I believe it failed due to the titanium cylinder. They give the gun an awfully rough action compared to stainless. They are also a pain in the freakin behind to clean and maintain compared to stainless.

I'd give my left nut for a 10mm L-frame 3".

Ruger just came out with a pretty sharp GP100 3” barrel Talo Exclusive 10MM revolver not to long ago. Pretty close to the L frame 10mm revolver you want.

Ti actually gives a lighter DA pull. Less mass to turn. Also reduces peening of the cylinder notches.

I’m hoping Smith paid attention to the GP100 10mm.

Back in the 80s, Peebles Gun Shop in Arlington, Texas did conversions of Colt Pythons to .41 Magnum.

I’ve maintained for years the GP100 or L-Frame should be able to handle 10mm or .41 Magnum.

Neither, it'd have to be another automatic for me.

Love my 69 it might be my favourite handgun
Always wanted a 10mm too
Id probably have to own one if sw made a 10mm L frame
Just please offer it in 4 1/4" barrel length like the 69 629 686 and 66 if they keep making em ill keep buying them
