Out of these three choices, which one would you choose and why for a 6" K-38?

1. Winchester Supreme Elite Self Defense Ammunition 38 Special +P 130 Grain Bonded PDX1 Jacketed Hollow Point 945 fps

2. Remington R38S12, 38 Special + P, Lead Hollow Point, 158 GR, 890 fps

3. Cor-Bon .38 Special+P 125 grain JHP 950fps

Myself, personally, I'd take the 158 grain Lead H.P. hands down. It's closer to what the gun was made to shoot anyway, I think it would be more effective than the other alternatives on average, and it's much easier to duplicate using cast bullets and reloading to practice with.

Winchester Ranger RA38B 130gr bonded +P because it's virtually identical to the PDX1 you listed, available in a 50-round box and two thirds the price.

I use Winchester Ranger T in all my SD pistols mostly because it feeds well and functions well in them, plus my local PD also uses it in their pistols.

Any good SD round will work. The most important thing is how does it work in your firearm.

Actually, the most important thing is bullet placement in the body of the BG. Everything else is way back in importance. If you miss a vital area, no bullet type or bullet velocity will make up for that.

I like them "cheap" 100 round boxes of Remington +P 125 grn JHP's because it just don't matter much.

Sorry, not what you asked.

Emory

I use the lead 158 gn HP's its a proven round and most fix sighted .38's are regulated to this bulletweight.

#2 for all modern 38 spl revolvers. Will likely shoot closest to point of aim, and will be just as effective if not more so for self-defense use. Likely to be the most reasonably priced to boot.
For a quick and dirty "power factor" rating, multiply the bullet weight times the velocity & see how they compare. This assumes advertised velocities are accurate, of course -- this in itself is a whole 'nother issue.
