Whatever happened to the old addage that your mother taught you? You know, the one where she says put on clean underwear in case you end up in the hospital!

Well, I don't think anyone's mother teaches that anymore.

It has gotten so bad these days that if the doc orders a urine, stool or semen sample, all I have to do is take their underwear.

Really? Change your underwear every now and then, and then hope you don't end up having me cut your clothes off of you, because your nasty underwear is going right in the bag with the rest of your cut off clothing, probably on top of everything else.

That is not the real reason to wear clean undies, you never know where you may end up

Underwear? Don't you wear those in the winter time so you don't freeze your stuff.

While I do sympathize with you in your unfortunate experiences with the clientelle, don't you remember the Cosby routine about the clean underwear warning? The undies may have been clean when you put them on before the accident. Afterward?

I don't think anything is the way it used to be. Roughly 25% of what I encounter strikes me as worse than it was decades ago, and 75% is better. Thus civilization progresses.

How come we only talk about the 25% here?
