I'll be needing someone to try out my Shooboy 15-22 prototype barrel wrench for FREE

Those are TOOOOO nice. I think I will have to add one to my gunsmith box. Which one is your favorite, and which one sells the best? You should put those on eBay, you would sell a ton.

I'm in. I've done it for other companies, everyone once in awhile you come across a product test that makes you say "can I PLEASE keep it!", and in most cases (depending on the price) - they do! :)

True, Free does get everyone interested!

I'd rather get it to do the review then do a Karma post and help someone out (I enjoy doing reviews).

After seeing the Hammer that Shoo makes, I'm sure this will be a knock out!

Hi again tacticool, Thanks very much for the kind comments. I actually do sell Shooboys on eBay also. My favorite, and the best seller by far, has been the Midnite-Pro. You get a great grip and very precise control, plus you've got some weight behind your swing. Let me know if I can make one up for you. Also, for an extra $6 you can get a nice brass end cap for the handle, inset in the end with a empty handgun case of almost any caliber, looks really neat. I should have a picture, let me look around and then I'll post it here. Thanks again, Randy
Here's a picture from rags24 that I'm always borrowing, I'll keep looking for the other picture too...

I don't know if a hammer could ever be called sexy, but if it could that hammer fits the word.

Just curious as why you took the time to post that, if you are not interested then why even say something ? Shoo

my question is why did you use pvc? please don't take any offense at all, but i can't see myself buying something that i can make. if it was all metal with a plastic sleeve inside to protect the barrel that would be a totally different story. curious on the rationale behind your materials choice.

Hi, Thanks for the comment, absolutely no offense taken. The reason for the PVC is to try and keep the cost to you down as much as I can, PVC is relatively inexpensive. The end pieces of the wrench are steel, so I guess if you have your own machine shop then you could go ahead and make your own wrench. The other consideration is shipping weight. Yes, I can make the wrench entirely out of steel and may end up doing that. That may involve other modifications also. This is just a prototype don't forget and I am looking for feedback on it. But I do need someone to actually try it out for me as I don't own a 15-22. Thanks, Shoo

Shooboy writes: "Hmmm, FREE wrench people ! HELLO ?"

ChattanoogaPhil replies: "No Thanks"

Shooboy becomes curious.

Shooboy, are you sure you want that curiosity satisfied?

Hi Phil, Okay, thanks for clarifying that for me. The reason I did that was there were 700 looks and just a handful of people that were interested in obtaining a free tool, guess I was a little curious. Shoo

if you're still looking for someone to try it out, i will most definately. my barrel needs to come back off soon for threading anyway. i'll happily torture test it for you if you want. feel free to PM me if you'd like.

It takes a few pennies and a few minutes to make a barrel wrench for the 15-22. Even someone with two left thumbs can fabricate one.... I'm an example of such. :o Good luck.

Shoo. The large blue coupler will not fit inside the handguard. The nut on top is great for torquing. However, the barrel keys in the upper receiver will take all of that force and damage can happen. The barrel should be clamped. Thats just my 2 cents. Keep on keepin on.
Those hammers are awesome, I need to get one.
Actually, I just bought the Midnight-Pro.
