I'm sorry. Again.

Nice pick up! Sir, you have a really nice collection. But I don't think you have a problem.

Nice Nice Nice Nice.......Way to go! It's obvious you have fine taste in revolvers! Congrats!

Craig...

But I couldn't help myself.

But the auction WAS 17 hours old so you all had a chance to buy it now too.

The seller is a retired L.E.O. who bought the gun new in 1989.
When his department transitioned to the Sig 220 the Smith was put up in the safe.
He told me he didn't even use it to qualify with, he used the departments gun.

Again, I'm sorry. But I just had to do it. Wouldn't you have??

It is a 66-3 with BBN serial prefix.

Smith and Wesson Model 66 with 3" Barrel : Revolvers at GunBroker.com

Holster, speedloaders and fingergroove combats all add a nice touch.

Apologetically,

Allen Frame

Allen, Stop the madness!!! You are not forgiven:)! I missed that one. Have a 3" -2, but could always use another -3. First shot IF you ever sell one of them 3" 66's or that nickel 27-2. I'd really like the 27. You do offer a 50% military discount to us Coasties right. Plucked a few folks from the waters off of the coast and $50.00 says you saw me flying around in one of our orange helicopters when I was stationed in Opa Locka. It really should be named Hell, Fl. Started packing my Springer within days af moving down there from Alaska. Talk about a culture shock!

Congrats on that beauty! Did the combats come with it?

Take care,

Roger

Allen,
You should write a tutorial on how to search these gems out on the auction sites. Not only is that a nice gun, but a great deal on a very good holster and a passel of speedloaders.

Congratulations.

Frank

My tutorial is this; I spend far too much time on Gone-broker.
There just isn't any other way to find deals.

Good luck. And again, I apologize. ;)

Allen

Congrats on the addition to the collection. As an aside, I'd be just about as excited to find that Alessi Pull-Thru Holster as I would be with the Model 66.

I've got one--an Alessi--but mine fits a Ruger Semi-Auto, but then again--as Lou is no longer with us, I say "Enjoy". Paulie686.

Very nice!!

Nice gun!!

But......my 65-3 can beat up your 66-3! ;)

I must say that i am one of the fortunate ones who have a 66-3 3"
that has'nt found it's way into Frames collection yet. haha
Of course it was purchased at an auction in Indiana. So maybe i'm
safe way up here. Beautiful line-up of short barrels. I've got to
go empty my drool bucket now....

police, I think that your 65-3, looks tougher! I can say that because I got 1 around Thanksgiving time. I really like it (so does my wife) Haven't found the best grips yet, so Pach Compacs are back on (for now) Bob
BY THE WAY THAT IS A NICE 66!!
