I've got a .22 S&W revolver that appears to be a model 43. It has a 3.5 inch barrel. On the square butt and the barrel is serial # 143xx. When I open the cylinder where the crane attaches, the serial # on the frame and crane is 154xx. There is a 7 stamped above and below the serial # on the frame where the crane attaches. Any information that explains all this will be appreciated. I paid $100 for it this week. There is some pitting on the frame, the bluing is worn on the muzzle and the cylinder. It locks up fairly tight and the trigger pull is smooth and crisp.
