By far the best and most stable rounds to fit my stock 627 8 shot moon-clips. Almost no wiggling or jiggling as I reload. This makes reloading 3 times faster.

This is comparing many other high quality rounds of both 125g and 158g .38 and .357: Cor-bon, Winchester, Mag-Tech, Federal, Remington, etc.

I bet these shoot well too. Can't wait for Saturday morning.

I prefer a bit of wiggling and jiggling when I load cartridges into my 627's moonclips. I keep Federal and R-P brass separate for match and other more serious applications. I don't think I have tried Hornady though. I'm very satisfied with how quickly I can speedload the 158 gr. LRN without being too particular with my brass.

The Hornady's move a bit in the moon-clips, but just enough. The recess at the end of the shells is very tight. Overall I think Hornady spends their buyer's money and production costs on the ammo not the box and packaging. This might be my new carry round.

One of the little quirks of 357/38 specials & moonclips, no SAAMI standard for the groove above the rim means dimensions are all over the place between manufacturers. You'll find guys buying moonclips matched for specific brass manufacturers in competition to get the fit you described.

^^^Well I believe your post after never getting a really good fit until now.

It makes an enormous difference even when practicing loading the cylinder.
