We all know that the lefty loons are running wild, anti-gun rhetoric is spewed with impunity on the airwaves, and kids are getting suspended from schools for idiotic "gun-related" infractions on a regular basis. Saying the wrong thing can get you put into the penalty box at work, and soon it will be raining toads. In an effort to improve the current sorry state of affairs, I urge my fellow forum members to make a concerted effort to be tolerant of the ignorant, and extend a symbolic olive branch by modifying our thoughts, words, and actions. From this day forward, please refrain from the following:

Rifling though your pockets.
Gunning the engine and shifting your automatic transmission.
Shooting the poop with friends.
Calling your grand kid a pistol.
Firing off an email.
Coming out with both barrels blazing.
Locking the door after loading the truck.
Launching a shot over the bow.
Using a gauge.
Playing the Beatles' album "Revolver" or anything construed as full rock'n'roll.
Passing a semi on the highway.
Taking photos with a Canon camera.
Saddling up a colt.

I believe that with some concerted behavior modification, we can make the world a better, more tolerant place to live.

Thank you.

hillbilly ... I never go off half cocked when I have the hammer down. Sometimes I do have to muzzle myself though, usually after I've capped off the day having a blast.

I guess we better stop "shooting the breeze" also?

I trust the NFL will get on board and ban the use of the Shotgun Formation.

My grandson has his sights set on this cute gal at the checkout counter........ I guess I'll probably save us both a lot of trouble if I don't say that again.

I was five and you were six
We rode on horses made of sticks
I wore black, you wore white
You would always win the fight

Bang, bang. You shot me down.
Bang, bang. I hit the ground.
Bang, bang. That awful sound.
Bang, bang. My baby shot me down.

I was just listening to that song a little while ago. ;)
