Inception

Saw it,loved it,you have to like films like Bladerunner to "get" a thing like Inception.

There was a few things they may have done differently, but that could be a whole other movie.....also if you pay attention you'll realize that the movie my not have really "ended" for Cobb.

Loved it. I read a review that said it was complicated, but I didn't find it so. The more I think about it, I no longer feel the last frame was a cop out, but rather a perfect ending.

It was my favorite movie for this year. Christopher Nolan is the same director that did the great "Memento". He got to do "Inception" (which he wrote as well) in exchange for agreeing to do a third Batman movie.

If you think there are no new ideas coming out of Hollywood, watch this one. You have to pay attention and invest a little bit. If you want a movie where the good guy stands over the bad guy, blows the smoke out of his pistol barrel, says something witty, and walks off with the girl while the credits roll then you should pass on this one.

As we were driving home after, my neighbor and shooting buddy, who has two beautiful boys, 6 and 4, and one in the oven, said, "Your kids. Now that's a reality that ought to keep you grounded."

Truer words never spoken.

Bullseye

P.S.: I'm kinda slow on the uptake, sometimes. I think maybe I need to go back and watch this again. In some ways, Inception reminds me of The Matrix.

Bleh.
It started with an interesting premise and then became the same, old auto weapons fire and explosions and ridiculous gunplay. I'm sure they had to do this to get the younger crowd in the door.
The Matrix -- bleh! It was just a 12-year-old's fantasy of, "You are the ONE! Only you can save us! etc.).
Both movies had interesting special effects but the plot was designed to show off the effects, not the effects augmenting the plot.
Bleh.
Inception's plot started out intriguing, then was overrun with gunfire, explosions, special effects, obscurity and obfuscation.
I'm sure they'll make a sequel. Bleh. I hope the next Inception gets aborted early on.

went with the girlfriend...she wanted to see it because of Dicapprio...

It was Ok. I wouldn't see it again. It seemed to go on for a long time and after the first 30 mins or so..you really knew where the film was going and I was waiting--if you will--for the movie to finish thereafter.

It was an interesting concept though, I think they could have taken the film in a different direction...won't spoil anything by elaborating.

Big time

I try not go go to movies because I have a general distaste for Hollywierd. but my wife dragged me to this one because "all the critics said it was good". It was easily the worst movie I have ever seen. I was bored to death. I want the two+ hours of my life back. To each his own I guess.

People in this country are desperate to be entertained. For proof of this all you have to do is look at what passes for entertainment.
