Incredible Model 15 Finds

How come is it that some fellers can walk out through a pasture and find nuthin' but flowers and all I git is stuff on my boots?:(

Those are two dandy guns. Well done!!

Both are very nice guns. I obtained a 1950 pre model 15 a year ago in a local shop in excellent condition for an unbelievable price. I will never sell it. What a great little gun.

Carried one in the Air Force, but swapped the 130 grain GI loads out for a .38-44 level cast SWCHP when I felt it was fitting. Always liked them but the only one I ever owned later my son talked me out of.

I suppose my well used M18 .22, along with a recently acquired shooter grade M19 fills the niche pretty well, though. All great guns.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry I missed this thread when it was young, but better late than never.

Beautiful guns both. I really like the older one -- but who wouldn't?

I don't have a 15 or Pre-15 yet, but probably will. I just discovered that I shoot a .22 CM better than the regular K-22 Masterpiece, so I need to see if that's a fluke or if I actually do better with shorter barrels on K-frames.

Missed this thread earlier too but sure am glad I found it now.

Thanks for the great photos of Model 15s and the great story on the Model 15-2.

Frontovik,
Welcome to the forum. We're all family here, we just haven't met yet. Those were two great acquisitions toward your growing collection. -Ed.
