Horrible 15 car accident at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Just watched the replay on YouTube. I'm shocked more drivers weren't killed.

Sad day in racing. I was at Indianapolis in 2005 to see him win his first 500. I think he lucked into the win that day but he was a very good driver.

Gosh, I've lived here in the St. Pete area for more than 30 years and never heard of the guy.

Guess I never bother with car racing stories.

Very sad, leaves a wife, and two very young sons... He was a good racer, and seemed like a nice guy.

i was deeply sadden to hear about what happened to dan wheldon at las vegas. one of my favorite drivers is gone. i will miss seeing you drive at indy. rip.

I was at this year's Indy 500 and watched Dan win. So sad to hear of the horrible crash; may God rest his soul.

Too Many Lost

I've seen too many wrecks but that was the worst. It is a miracle that most survived. Two cars flying thru the air and into the retaining fence at more than 100mph. Advances in safety in the cars and to the tracks worked pretty well yesterday.
My deepest sympathy to the Wheldon family.

I watched the video last night... What an awful wreck!


Racing is dangerous, but it still stings when someone actually dies from it.
