I bought a SuperLoader for my son for his 9MM Ruger. He likes it. It is a bit more simple than the UpLuLa loader but functional. About $8.00.

I started this thread in hopes of an inexpensive solution. I've owned glocks and used the simple loader they give you with their guns. I was ready to get something similar to use on my M&P mags because anything is better than nothing. There are a number of cheap options, but let me tell you. Don't do it!!! The Uplula is even better than having someone else load your mags for you. It is actually a pleasure to use. My old Glock loader was frustrating and I usually just ended up doing it by hand. Now, my old thumbs are so fragile, that it hurts like hell to load more than a mag or two. I haven't even been to the range since I got this thing, But I find myself unloading and loading mags for no reason, all while grinning like an idiot. My wife thinks I've lost it.
