A Fathers day gift is an Umarex P.08 Luger.

This CO2 operated model has the weight and feel of an actual Luger. It even has the same take down.

The toggle mechanism cycles like the real ones.

Umarex makes some Smith and Wesson labeled models.

There are several Model 29 variations and several M&P models, one M&P has an operating slide.

I am impressed with the accuracy and feel of the Luger.

While not exactly the same as live fire, at pennies per magazine, I think it is a good way to get some inexpensive practice.

I've owned both, CO2 and "spring powered" airguns. CO2 is nice, no pumping or break barrel. I used to take the right grip panel off so my hand would warm the tank to get a few more shots. Only have an RWS 5G .177 break action pistol left. Big as a rifle but deadly accurate. I got married 11 years ago so shooting in the house (only way to go, Summer in Florida) is no longer allowed and the RWS sits in the safe neglected. Enjoy. Joe

I have a Smith 586 6" barrel .177 C02 pistol and I have 5 loaded 10 shot magazines/clips? which is almost exactly how many shots a C02 cylinder will last for. The gun is very accurate and has a sweet single action trigger and the DA is not bad. It's killed snakes, frogs, and wasps but to kill a squirrels you have to be close.
