Eagles are the better for TEOTWAWKI D) as they are clearly marked as to weight and silver content. It's hard to make change for a 1oz gold coin!!!

ASEs are only better if you want to overpay. Ask the dealer whay he will pay for ASE versus what he will pay for a silver round.
I buy 90% junk silver for the most part as the best I expect to do when I sell is 97% of spot.
