Welcome to the Smith and Wesson forums, BBZ does not show up in my 4th edition of the standard catalog.
But the majority of them to my knowledge were made 1988 to 1989 and the latest ones were a 629-2E for endurance package just before they changed them over to the 629-3, But they're a little rare and just for the record that is an 8-3/8 inch barrel is the correct barrel length.

Welcome to the S&W Forums. I cannot help with putting a date on your Model 629-2, but I can say that it looks like a fine shooter grade revolver. The nominal barrel length is 8 3/8", but the actual barrel length is often 1/8" more or less than the nominal length.
