Info on M 681

There is a 681 no dash near me for sale.
The owner says there is no M in the serial number just ADB.
Does this need to be sent back to S&W as I understand there was a recall and the M meant it was modified at the factory.

The M indicates a replaced firing pin bushing - some need them and some dont. Buy the gun and if it gives you problems - send it back. You get free shipping and quick service.

Boy I wish I had my 681 back. It had the best trigger I ever had on a revolver and that is a few. If I get a chance at another I will jump on it. Buy it with confidence if the price is right for you. You will like it.
