Greetings folks.
I bought a Model 64-6 off GB a few weeks back. I was hoping to get some information regarding this revolver. I was wondering the following:
1) Any idea when it was made? Serial # is CCS2329
2) Also, can I shoot +P, in the 64-6? I do not see any markings on the barrel that indicate I can, but I know other 64's, you can.
Any info or insight on the 64-6 is appreciated. When I bought this revolver, it was dull, had old worn out rubber grips.
I have since fully disassembled, inspected all internal parts, de-greased, polished, re-assembled and oiled, and gave this revolver some new S&W grips, that are round to square conversion.....and man it looks sharp!!
No worries, I did not use a dremel, nor lose any logos or engraving from the polish job.
One thing I have some experience with is polishing a SS revolver without messing it up.
Anyways, thanks in advance for any info, and I look forward to talking with you all.
Pics coming soon of before and after!
