Inherited a 66-1

FWIW...

I directly supervised 36 staff and another 200 under my umbrella.

They affectionately referred to me as "the old man" or "pops" or "the bald S0B."

My staff was the salt-of-the-earth and would walk over hot coals for me.

I miss those days and those names.

OP...nice 66 and shoot it with good health!

Almost forgot...keep your eye pealed for a grip box amongst your "Ole Mans" things.....probably will havebthe original grips in it.

Sean, nice handgun, it's obvious your father took great care of it; those of us of a certain age (I'm an octogenarian and also a Vietnam vet) were always attracted to the stainless S&Ws... so yeah, I too have a 66-1. I have three children and four stepchildren (all adults) who call me "Old Man" as well, but it is a token of respect, love and camaraderie rather than a reflection on my age! (I think!). ML
