Input about trade.

From a money standpoint you would be ahead by 100 or so. From a desire standpoint it's all about what You want.

For me, I'm a bigger fan of 28s, so I know the direction I would go.

I much prefer K and J’s to N’s and even I would have made that trade! Well done

I think it was fair for both parties.

Looking at completed GB auctions, Model 36s generally top out at $600, while 6" Model 28s that aren't beat to hell generally start at $600 and go up from there.

Looks like a trigger shoe been added, target hammer or ???

I too think you got the best of the deal. My 28-2 shipped October 13, 1975 to Maryland Police Supply. I sold this gun several years ago but enjoyed it while I had it. Mine had the serrated service trigger (.265") and the standard semi-target hammer (.400").

The Op's gun appears to have a trigger shoe and I can't tell if it has a wide spur hammer bigger than the .400" semi-target.

I'm posting an add for the gun when they were new. So....$90 in 1972 to approx. $750 (your 36 + $150) in late 2024 ??? Yea...I'd say you got a terrific deal.

I would've made that trade in a heartbeat too, I would've prefered a 4" though. I love a 4" 28 might seperate one of my J's though. You did well!

I have made trades similar to this before. Other party had a BOR (big old revolver) that didn't match their wants but suited mine. I had a nice little revolver that was hard to find and filled a want for them. Swap done/both happy.
