Basically:
- no modifications to the gun/"buffer tube"/receiver
- sawed the front end of the A2 stock flat
- drilled, sawed and filed the insides of the A2 stock (between the "hole" and the storage compartment) open
- drilled&pinned it in place

The ballpoint pen shows the pin location.
The felt point pen shows where some ugly edge was unavoidable. The sharp edge can be rounded a bit but not much - the polymer surface is pretty thin.

As to "why", well, telescopic buttstocks are useless for 99% of users in Finland because they are pinned in place. If a gun goes under 840mm of overall length in Finland, the owner immediately transforms into a mass murderer, or something. So, rather a slick smooth stock than one that rips off facial hair and is ugly and edgy.

 Remove the pin and set the length than re pin, only downfall is your going to look for a longer case

I'm saying you ruin your gun, you could of repinned the original.
