I have a S&W M22 and I would like to have the half moon front sight modified to accept a gold bead to enhance target acqustion. I was thinking that the front face of the half moon could be angled and then the gold bead affixed.

As anyone had this done? Could anyone comment on the possible problems, if any, in having it done?

Thanks

Order a .250 pin in SDM gold bead front sight and replace that old half moon sight on the 22.

I ordered a S&W .250 Patridge front sight for mine then cut a 15 degree angle on the read to form a slight forward slope to the top of the sight. I painted it orange and it works well for me.

You should order a couple of sight pins with the blade and a #54 drill bit to drill the new sight and pin in place. Lots of good threads on here about how to do this function.
