At one time, I had a 4" 29 and a 4" 57. While I love the .41Mag round, I found the 57 to be very heavy and not as responsive as the 29. A scale showed the 57 to weigh 51 ozs, over 3 pounds (I know the catalog says 46 ozs). I sold the 57 to a supervisor and kept the 29. Won't sell my 58, though. Won't turn my nose up at a 657 either! Nice gun you have there!

Congratulations.

My 4" model 57 was ruined in a hurricane several years back when the cardboard box it was in soaked up water and kept it nice and hydrated until our power was restored 20 days later and I got into the house.

I just recently found a replacement barrel. The original barrel had orange foam coming out of it when I opened the box, not pretty. I will be polishing and rebluing the rest of the firearm as it was only surface rust that developed in three weeks.
