I recently made a trip up to Washington for the WAC gunshow and met Smithnut and a few other of the collectors up there. I picked up these M&P boxes from Smithnut. I found the advertisement in the bottom of the box and on the backside of one very interesting and thought you might enjoy seeing it also....

thanks Smithnut my 2 M&P's have new nests to rest in now.

Dan, Great boxes! Hard to find for 5 inch guns. The pearl grip flyers were standard inserts for boxes of that period ( circa 1902-1915), although that stamping about warranty for either black powder or smokeless powder was only used for a shot time, maybe 1914-1920, or so. S&W called all their guns black powder guns until about 1914, although they were plenty safe enuff with standard smokeless loads. Ed.

Dan,
Glad those boxes worked out for you. It was a pleasure meeting you and discussing our hobby!

Let me know the next time you make it back up this way, maybe we can get together and talk S&W's and Rugers....
