Interesting Copy

I just picked this one up. Interesting copy in .44 cal. Condition is very good.S/N 194200, Left side is mark cal .44, p.N., And has a Crown with an X
and what looks like a bird. Right side has a letter G and I can't make out. What else is on it.
The top of the barrel says " best American cartridges are those that fit best T. A C revolver ".
It came with a very nice period correct shoulder rig.

Spanish proof marks, "best American cartridges" is common language for Spanish copies.
Geco is a big German sporting goods house.
They also made the same type for Romania in WWI, according to Zhuk.

TAC also made a very sincere copy of S&W Triple Lock.

So the Geco marking should indicate European use ? Possible Romanian , cool.

Zhuk does not say if the Romanian guns had any particular marking. Finish not specified but there aren't many nickel plated service pistols.

Geco stamp means it was sold by them.
