The writer points out the fact that whenever there is a suggestion that photo ID be required for voting purposes, we are reminded that the poor and minority citizen is less likely to own identification and to require it is a blatant attempt to keep them from voting.
Why aren't these same people not outraged about the increased background check and registration efforts?
Is this not an attempt to keep the poor from protecting themselves?
