Newly Proposed Minnesota Gun Control Legislation

How can they do this in a state that thrives from outdoor sports? In my corner of MN, I can honestly say I only know one person that doesn't own a gun. If any of this BS does happen, it's nice to know that I can sell my house and move to IA, which is only 10 miles away, and still keep my job.

In the past week I read a short story by Charles Dickens entitled "Sunday under Three Heads." In it, Dickens provides commentary about a bill submitted annually by a political representative that proposes to ban any form of work on Sundays. This bill is to help people observe the sanctity of the sabbath and stop them from engaging in baser vices (such as walking, eating a meal out, or playing a game, GASP!).

Dickens makes the point that the bill exempts two groups of people from prosecution. The first is the wealthy, upper-class nobles. The second is any person working for them. The injustice of this is plain to see.

Now, in the state of Minnesota, the benficient overlords have submitted a bill to take away those evil guns, to prevent Minnesotans from harming themselves with said weapons. But, the bill exempts those benficient overlords and those who enforce their whims.

You think the issues of today are new? You think the methods by which people practice tyranny are untried? You think that there aren't people who sleep well at night believing that limiting another's freedom for their own benefit is actually moral? Think again.
