You've done well, and acquired a Classic S&W revolver at a decent price. The price of the model 28s' has been climbing steadily over the last couple years. The days of the $300 HP are gone. I paid $450 for my "S" serial number 28-2 about a year ago, and saw one in lesser condition go for $600 a couple months later.
There's just nothing that shoots quite like a big S&W N frame revolver. Enjoy that one, you'll never regret getting it.
PS... watch your wallet, these can be addicting. First it's a 4", then you need a 6", then there are the model 27s', and of course a snubby has to be in there somewhere... you follow?
