Just make it right again

We should honor people who save lives.
The guy that shot Jesse James obviously saved lives.

I propose a national holiday for that little back shooter that never got his reward.
Because it is the right thing to do.

And when Frank James turned himself in there were no witnesses. He always wore a mask. His Civil War commanding officer testified at the trial that he had fought bravely for the south. The (southern) Jury gave that officer a standing ovation.

He was found innocent.

Congress should do something about that.

(Somebody please tell me what an "Aggie" is. I was raised in a tourist town where we watched the sailboat races on weekends).

Aggie Jokes?

Okay, I looked up Aggie Jokes.

The old Hippie jokes and Russian Scientist jokes are now Aggie Jokes.

So there is still friction between farmers and ranchers. Golly, it has only been a few thousand years.

I once lived near an agricultural college. A friend who attended that college went on to manage a pineapple plantation in Hawaii.

Many, many years ago, I served in the US Navy with folks from all over the US. I was a young kid from Maine and hadn't yet seen alot of the world or country for that matter. I found out that every person was different, some "good" and some "bad" in my opinion. Early on I started judging folks by what they did, not where they came from. When I got out, I returned to Maine (where I'd grown up as a " city" boy, and after a bit joined the State Police. I was stationed in places that I hadn't even known existed, some of them so rural tht I wondered if I was still in Maine. But, I again found out that judging folks by their actions and not locations, upbringing, etc. generally worked out
well. I've followed that idea for some 74 years now and it hasn't let me down. we're all in this together.

Actually, you need to have lived in Texas for a period of time to understand Aggie jokes and the rivalry that used to exist between the University of Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies in the old Southwest Conference. It was intense to say the least.
