Is it possible to find a box only for a mod 34 kit gun.

Found a grey box for my 2" nickel 34 at OGCA last year. I was hounded the rest of the day while I walked around with it. "I just bought it. No it's not for sale."

I usually stash my finds where they won't be seen by the predators...If I'm just walking a show there's usually a trusted vendor who'll keep what I find until I'm ready to go...A couple of local shows ago a vendor whom I did not know had a table across the aisle from mine...On examining what he had, we struck a deal for his 3" SB 31-1 which I pointed out was in an unmatching box...The box of course was for a 4" 34-1...So now both my 4" SB 34-1's have boxes, one original and one almost...

That's why I say just keep your eyes and ears open until one falls in your lap......Ben

No not for sale. Just looking to find a box for it.

You'll want to look for a box with a serial # close to yours to get the correct vintage. The serial # is marked at the factory on the outside bottom of the box in red, black, or white grease pencil.

Box

Are you looking for a box marked Model 34, or would a box marked "SMITH & WESSON KIT22/32 GUN 4inch Barrel" work?

I've got one in about 60% condition. The top is faded from sunlight, and it's been wet, but it's completely intact. It's definitely not collector grade....
Let me know if you're interested.
