Is It Time ?

If it's black, it's paramilitary?

I don't think I have ever heard that term used this way before. I was hoping for some more specific information/explanation/definition, or something.

I have no idea.:p

Luckily my LGS isn't gouging anyone... They are selling AR's at regular prices. I went in yesterday and they have the S&W m&p 15 Sportster for $749 and the "T" version for $1249.

At the shop I work at we had a M&P15T for $1699.99 it didn't last long. Its sad. You feel bad but at the same time the people buying right now are people who only want one because they don't think they will be able to get one soon. They have no idea what they want or what they are getting. They just want an AR period.

I've got to admit that the ARs and AKs are becoming such a PITA to have with all the cost of ammo, etc and poss pending doom and all that's going on, it's tempting as hell to take the cash and forget it. My personal feeling is that something is coming. My biggest fear is that you would not be able to sell if you wanted to. I can't help but have a bad feeling as to the future. I absolutely hope I'm wrong. Just fed up right now with all of it.

Interestingly enough my LGS that I have never been a fan of due to prices and unwillingness to wheel and deal most of the time has not jacked up their prices like the other guys. They've got pretty much all calibers in stock and haven't raised prices at all on it but have limited you to two boxes or two bricks of ammo, unless its cases on a pallet then its a two case limit, which I can respect. They've recently opened up a reloading supply side to the shop too and those prices are in line too. So suffice it to say they've earned a new steady customer, in fact I went in and bought a Nighthawk .22 1911 conversion last week from them.

This goes back to before a lot of you were and are gunowners...

The term "Paramilitary Rifle" came up back in the late 80's... especially after the Stockton, Ca. school yard shooting by one *** named Patrick Purdy, who killed 5 asian children...in Jan. 1989... which set off the 1st "assault weapons importation ban in 1989 by President Bush #41

Paramilitary rifle is defined as a semiautomatic rifle with aesthetics that match many military "assault rifles"... in other words, if it shoots semi auto... and looks like an M-16... then by true definition... its a "Paramilitary Rifle"

HTH,
Paul

This will probably get this thread locked...as we are not focusing on 15-22 info and help... but I wanted to clear it up as I had used it in a previous thread comment... and a lot of the younger generation have not heard of this term we used back in the 80's and 90's before the antigun crowd had brainwashed everybody with the term "assault rifle"
