It's looking like a great weekend here in Va Beach, 75 degrees and lite winds. Taking the boat out for an afternoon cruise to get those wintertime cobwebs and long working hours worked out of my system. Then tomorrow hit the Hampton gun show early then get home in time to watch the Bristol race and 2" thick Porterhouses on the grill. I'm in man heaven. The best part is that the wife enjoys all of the above also, so i get extra points for spending time with her. ;)

What's the board doing on the first spring weekend? I hope everyone else has the great weather too. Screw the hunny-do list, it's kickin back time.

We've had sun and 70s here the last couple days. I've been working outside in the flower beds. I was hoping to get some lawn work done today, as the forecast is partly sunny and mid 70s again. But I'm still waiting for the sun part. Sure is overcast. Chance of storms tonight and tomorrow. It's nice finally being able to get outside without being bundled up, and to have the windows open! Been a long cold winter. Glad to see it go! Happy spring y'all!

going to be 70deg today in Western WA, the Rodies started bloming months ago.....we had the mildest winter in my memory.......somehow we were spared what the rest of the country went though.

been mowing the lawn for 2 months already

Had a beautiful week here. High 60's...but started snowing last night and 28 degrees this morning. At least I got the motorcycles out when it was nice!

NO--This is from overnight. About 6", supposed to get 10" total.

Even in the Arkansas Ozarks we're predicted to get a dusting of snow this weekend . . . and the kids are out on spring break.

Long an cold winter here in Germany, too.
Spring seems to be around the corner with a couple of nice and warm days, but today rain and cold again - hopefully no more snow.

Yep...shorts and tshirt balmy weather yesterday, 4 foot snowdrifts this afternoon.

I kid not.....biggest snow drifts this year so far...and still snowing and blowing in NW OK!

Farmers cattle may walk out over the fences on the drifts!

Shirtsleeve weather here mid 70's , blue sky, snowbirds actually entering the pool. A buddy and I went plinking, ruining tin cans with withering fire from various .45s, 629, 617, and STG556. We were in the Tonto Forest, near Sunflower, AZ. Glancing toward the skyline of the hill we were using as a backstop, I noticed an unusual configuration of rocks among the granite boulders, which proved to be, as suspected, the wall around a prehistoric Indian ruin, with numerous rooms, long-since robbed graves, pottery shards scattered about, and several metates (mortar style grinding stones) worn into the native rock, one with the mano (pestle) still lying nearby, undisturbed after centuries of disuse.

We were enjoying 50 degree daytime temps last week. Friday it dropped into the 30s and in the afternoon we got a little snow.
Never cracked 30 degrees today and a few minutes ago it was 22 degrees here.
Not unusual for the first day of Spring in Da U.P., eh?

Friday it was in the 60s.

Saturday, the cold wind that comes down from Kansas started. Temperature never got above the mid 40s and dropped later in the day.

Sometime during the night, it snowed - a lot. There was a strong swirling wind also. My car was uniformly covered with about 4 inches of snow all the way around, and I leave it in a carport with a brick wall about 10 feet away. Removing it with my bare hands was COLD.

Of course I don't have snow scraper. This is TEXAS!!!

Fri/Sat - nice! Sunday - rain - getting colder. Monday AM - snow - too warm to stick. We had snow - closed schools - April 1, '89, I think. Remember, I am just NE of Birmingham, AL - in the deep south. Yuck!

Spring came to Maine very early this year. The last day of winter was in the 60s! All the ice is already gone from the lakes here in southern Maine.
DWinter, Is Winter your last name? Just curious because that's my last name :)
