Cabelas has had CCI Mini Mags 36gr 300 rnd boxes available on line for several days, 2 box limit. I ordered some 3 days ago and they still have it listed on line. It is usually gone in a matter of minutes or hours at the most.
Is the 22LR drought over?

Not around here.. a little more available but not always found.
My Academy stores are full, 50 - 100 round boxes, but at increased prices, and without the CCI Mini Mags. I see it as the regular buyers passing on the higher prices. Even Remington Golden Bullets are $9.99/100.

per hundred. On occasion they will also have some Federal
Match 325 rd. and some CCI quiet. Also various makes of
others the new Browning, Norma, Eley, RWS, etc...
The days of under a nickel a round are gone i'm afraid but
it is available now. At least around me.

My Walmart has everything except 22LR.
When I ask, they say, we got some in, but it went fast.

If you'll settle for any .22 LR rounds at any semi-almost-reasonable prices, you can usually score at our MA Cabela's or Bass Pro these days. If you have a specific want or need... good luck to you. 
At our local Walmarts, it's still less than 1 in 20 trips in which you'll find any .22 LR rounds at all.

When I see a box of CCI Pistol Match, Select or Green Tag I'll think the drought is over. Not that I can't live without those, just that I can remember when I had such options. Haven't seen Stinger or Velocitor in years, either.

Last week I got a bucket of 1400 Golden Bullets for $70.74 and 3 weeks ago I got a 1000 pack of M-22 for $49.79
Powder prices are on the rise.

Bass Pro Powder prices average $5 to $6 per lb higher than Cabelas

We have a Walmart in our town of 2,500 for various reasons, so you get to know everyone who works there, and you can get a pretty accurate view of a lot of things just talking to the folks there. The last time I talked to the sporting goods guy, he said that the same groups of people who are retired, don't work the normal hours, or simply don't work, come in when they are put on the shelves and buy them as soon as they arrive. He said he hears people all the time bragging "I already have thousands upon thousands of rounds at home, but I still buy em up anyway" meaning that the same pigs hogging up supply during the worst of the crisis haven't quit. I'm starting to think there are people out there who have 100K 22 rounds, and would buy up every brick that came into the store if the store allowed them.
Learning to cast bullets on my own, I can make .38 Special light target loads for $0.04 now anyways. 22lr is a good old friend, but I gave up on seeing a reasonable supply a long time ago.

More available but they still sell out fast and cost more than I paid for my AK Russian Wolf ammo. Walmart almost never has any. The employees snatch it up.

online prices are better n it gets delivered to your door.
ups dropped off a case n it was too heavy for me to move.

The last .22 ammo I bought was online, but they always have a 1 or 2 count limit and the postage is high. Add 9 or 10 cent a round and it's just too much. If I could buy at least 5,000 rounds, it would make more sense.

Several weeks ago I was in the local Academy store. They had lots and lots of .22 LR, various brands, stacked on the counter, and no purchase limit. For the most part, too expensive for me to buy, but the 550 bulk packs of Remington was around $35 as I remember - that was the cheapest. Other brands were around a dime per round or more. Fortunately, I have a fairly large stash bought long before the 2008 panic, and I don't really need to buy any.

More often available....but not always. If desperate, some one nearby will have Thunderbolts.
As for price, I used to buy the federal bulk packs of their auto match for 17...now 23 to 25. Until inventory remains steady, I doubt we will see prices come back down.

Our local wally world has not had 22rf on the shelves since this crazyness started. They did have some CCI rat shot. So I'm guessing the little elves who seem to know when its coming in are there to pick it up. Could be the store employees are not putting it out on the shelves and selling to friends. It's not over where I live. I don't see any .22LR ammo for months at a time and then only one box I'd 10 is on the shelf. I just can't believe this is normal supply & demand. According to CCI they are producing 4 million rounds a day. Add in Remington, Winchester, Federal and all the others here and abroad there must be 20+ million rounds A DAY being made.
If you want to produce real change, change the hearts and minds of the children. This so called shortage just might succeed breaking the "gun culture" that is so hated by those who hate guns. Sounds like a "micro-aggression" against us poor, old, retired folks to me.
Might even be a macro-aggression! 
I do remember the days when I had to stand in line outside the doors of my local Walmart waiting for them to open at 7:00 AM.
Then I had to run as fast as my HBP and mega-painful hips would allow to get back to the sporting goods department before the "youngsters" behind me so I could snare my share of any .22 LRs that had come in and been put out overnight. 
But that was back in 2013 and 2014.
I find it hard to believe that ritual is still happening when you can easily score .22 LR rounds today at Cabela's and Bass Pro and many of the larger gun shops. True, you might not get the particular rounds you desire and at Walmart's low prices, but you will usually find something to make noise with! 
We have a storage limit here in moonbat MA. Unless you obtain a permit from your local Fire Department, which is not necessarily a great idea, you are limited to 10K rounds of rimfire ammo per structure.
I consider myself to have a lot of .22 LR ammo, but I'm still under the legal limit. I doubt too many of us dirt poor retired old coots here in MA are near the legal limit let alone over the limit.
Most of my ammo money still goes to centerfire and that keeps me forever on the edge of broke. Yes, there may be exceptions... but I don't think it's the norm as I see little remaining incentive for massive over-buying.
