Is the Model 60-7 as "good" as the No-Dash Model 60?

I'm being offered the chance to trade a G19 for a GC Model 60-7. I just bought a no-dash a couple weeks ago and it has quickly become the most prized of my ~15 handguns. I love the no-dash because, as we all know, "they don't make 'em like they used to". My question is; is there any appreciable difference in quality/craftsmanship between the no-dash and the -7? I know its a no-lock, and pretty sure it's of the older smaller framed J's. Any MIM? Any other thoughts? Thanks, everyone -Rob

I'm on my third 60-7 and keeping this one. I also have a 36-7. (The 36 and 60 shared the same dash numbers.) They are "heat treated" for +P use, all tool steel parts, and have the wider sights of the current models. They were also the last of the original frames before being stretched to the J Magnum frame. My latest one is from '95, the last year of production. They stopped flash chroming the trigger and hammer so mine is cash hardened instead. The other two I had were flash chromed, one from '91 and the other from '93. Wish I still had the '91 since thats the year I graduated.

Thanks for the input, Sonny! I was looking at the dash #'s and it looks like the 60-7 would be most desirable after the no-dash....for me anyways. I want a regular snub w/o MIM, safeties, magnum frame, etc. The -7 seems to have everything I'm looking for. The one I'm looking to trade for is also case-hardened and appears to be pretty clean.
