Is the social media influencer opposition to manual safeties irresponsible?

For those of you grumbling about the words "social media" and "influencer" being in the same sentence, all that you're succeeding in doing is displaying your own ignorance. None of this is new terminology.

It's not like I'm talking about some Twittering idiot who's jumping up and down on Tiktok and upset because their avatar got molested in the Metaverse.

Get a grip...

Everything is gonna be OK... Maybe try watching some videos from the following YouTube channels and prepare to be influenced:

Jerry Miculek - Pro Shooter - YouTube

Military Arms Channel - YouTube

hickok45 - YouTube

I always thought that the addition of a lot of safety features are do to gun manufactures, distributers. and thier lawyers atempt to avois lawsuits. with a fes exceptions like with the 1911 where the customer (armed forces) requested the grip safety. With striker fired pistols I thought the point was that they replicated a revolver like trigger pull that like a revolver does not need a safety. Many folks carry a revolver with hammer doen on an empty chamber and a number of manufactures offer striker fired semi autos with (or without) a thumb safety. Buyers choice. Who cares what some social media guys opinion is I dont think it will have much if any effect on what gun makers offer as they follow the regulations, Lawyers and the almighty dollar.

Gun manufacturers follow regulations and they follow market demand. Gun reviewers on YouTube have significant influence on market demand, especially when it comes to the market for polymer frame striker fired guns.
