is that 100? i was at the local one two days ago and they had plenty - forget the brand but it was almost 18/50. aside from that every time i check there is nothing but a few .45, .223 and .22

Yes, per 100 (C = 100).
Local stores now have 40s nearly all the time, and 9s about half the time. No 45 to speak of.

lucky you. i have not seen 40s in two weeks and i have been about 6 times to 4 locations. i gave in and paid a horrible price at a gun store

I just bought 50 round box of 9mm from Academy Sport and Outdoor for $11.50 in Brass or $975 for steel case.

get out. i have tried 3 Academy's too and have pretty much the same results. no 9s, no 40s. and .22 is getting more expensive. i tried the one in Grapevine, Arlington and Bedford area. i asked one of the stores when they get their shipments and he said monday, wednesday, and friday. not sure i believed him but i am off monday so i am gonna try first am.

Don't want to make you cry, but I bought 5 boxes of Brass 9 mm's from the Grapevine store this morning.

Went in yesterday and bought 5 boxes of .357 for my revolver too - they hadn't had .357's in months. :D

Be sure to try again.

By current standards that is a reasonable price. S&B is perfectly good stuff.

I agree that S & B ammo is perfectly good stuff, except for the .357SIG loading. I bought several boxes of S&B .357SIG and had nothing but trouble in 3 different guns, many FTF's, extra hard primers that in many cases wouldn't even fire after 3 or 4 attempts. I never got through 1 full mag without a misfire. I tried them in a Glock 32, a SIG 229, and a SIG PRO. Fortunately, the store where I bought the ammo was willing to take it back and give me store credit. Other than that, I've had great luck with S&B products. BTW, one of the 3 boxes that I bought was from a different lot number, so that suggests to me that they are or were having some problems, since both lot numbers had the same problem.

oh well that figures. i guess the guy was right about when he gets new shipments. actually i am glad to hear cause now i know it actually makes it to their shelves

go figure. who would have thunk that going to Academy (S. Arlington) at 7pm on a Saturday afternoon i would find that they had probably 50 boxes of 9mm for 9.99 / box. i bought 5. Monarch 115gr fmj. timing is everything.
