Is this damage to Shield magwell?

Hello friends. The other day when cleaning a Shield 9mm v1.0, I noticed what looked to be some material missing from the inside of the magwell. There are 2 wide "lines" that run up and down the side of the magwell, and I noticed where they stop and then start again, and it looks like some of the material is scraped off. It's not a clean line where it stops and then starts again, so it doesn't look like intentional machining, rather it looks worn and like abrasion.
Just curious what this is and if it's damaged, especially since it's a carry gun. Pictures below:

Welcome to the world of injection molding. Those are just part of the necessary mold to make the polymer frame. You will find other spots where it looks unfinished, but it's just part of the manufacturing process.

Yep, not a problem, a little unsettling maybe, but that's just a bye-product of molding a plastic handle over a metal framework.

I really want a 5" M&P .40 with a safety as a truck gun! I don't know why other than it won't get any uglier bouncing around in the glove box....
