ISO part for rear sight on 25-2

I have searched online for a "rear sight elevation stud" for my Model 25-2 from 1984 a while now and the best I can come up with is Numrich Arms and MD's Gun Repair, both of whom show it "out of stock". The only other solution I've encountered is a complete rear sight assembly but I hate to spend $120 for a complete sight when all I need is the $7 stud.

Any suggestions on where else I might find such a part?

I would suggest calling Smith and Wesson to see if they carry these.

The part number is 07180 for the stainless variety. I don't think they make this particular part in carbon (blued) steel any more.

They will ask for the revolver's serial number when you call.

If worse comes to worse, Brownell's has a "rear sight rebuild kit" that comes with 6 studs and 6 snap rings for around $24.00. I think they are offering 10% off right now.

Thank you very much for that information! I had looked at the Brownell's site but didn't see anything other than the complete sight assembly, and none of those in the "old style". I'll try the Smith and Wesson phone number first and see if I can get one there. Again - thank you!

eBay... I'm having a hard time finding the older aight parts myself
The older style seems to be hard to find all the sudden, may take some patience but eBay has parts pop up from time to time and is your best bet
Also stud is called "screw" on some places ... try google I saw a few listed but I have no affiliation or dealings ... they're out there AZTECH ARMORY
Was one and the stainless part would work if you can't find the blue piece

Any small parts that can get lost on the bench are great to pick up when you can. I just picked up some rear sight kits, plungers, springs, screws etc. and even an elevation stud. Nice to have for your own use or to help someone out.

Usagunsandgear.com has been my go to for parts like this. Much easier to deal with than Numrich.
