I remember hearing about the ridiculous primer issues. Then I remember hearing that Hornady fixed the primer issues with the new copper colored primers. Then I remember hearing that people were still having primer issues with the new copper primers.

I would like to try some of this junk...but have they actually fixed the issues now?

Also, for those of you that have used/tested this stuff...do ya like it?

I've been kind of following along with the developement of the Critical Defense loads,as well as looking and listening for news on the Critical Duty.
I have not had satisfactory results with other Hornady handgun ammo in testing, although much of their rifle ammo is very good.

Since there are so many other good, and proven loads on the market,I will be taking a wait and see on this stuff until it has been thoroughly vetted for consistency in performance both in testing and on the streets.

I've fired a lot of Hornady Critical Defense in 12ga and .357. The 12ga are immaculate and my favorite 2 3/4" 00 Buck load for HD. The .357s are nice but I like the Remington Golden Sabres just a tad better. That said, in one 7 round moon clip I had 3 primers blow out.

I havent had any primer issues and they seem to work fine in my SW99 in 9mm. But i tried them in my Ruger LC9 and had a hell of a time getting to to cycle when i had a full magazine.
