You done well grasshopper. Looks great. 17’s&18’s are fine guns. If you run into tight cylinder ejection problems , a simple fix and there is tons of info. Post on s&w smithing or do a search. S& W did not change their readers too frequently. Now for some target grips. I like dark ones

Just beautiful...

60s vintage Smiths are my favorite...and also it seems rarely sold on the auction sites compared to other generations... The polish and bluing from the mid 50s to the late 60s was a cut above...

Thanks for all the kind words I can't wait to hit the range but here in Saskatchewan we got oh about 8 inches of snow,so a couple of weeks. I'm keen to see how it compares to a17-6 that I purchased a couple of months ago. Thanks again

It took me so long to buy a .22 revolver. Smith that is. Did a "buy it now" on G.B. Tired of losing.!7-2. Did come with rubidub grips. It is from 1964. Found diamond magnas at a flea mkt. cheap. Good condition for use on a shooter. When I shot it for the 1st time, was amazed at accuracy. Bob

That sure is a nice one! I love shooting mine I got a couple of years ago with box and paperwork. I could tell it was shot very little. They are sooo smooth and balanced! Hope you enjoy it out at the range!
