... and thank God for the foresight of our forefathers.

The host pisses me off, thinking since it's his forum that he can just speak more loudly and be effective... (the host pisses me off for a lot of reasons.)

This is not the America I grew up in... and I'm only 48.

It's his house, we are invited quests in his house.

You should respect and appreciate your host's hospitality.

Yeah... ok - good point.

I guess I shouldn't be shocked these days. I just don't remember growing up around these type of conversations.

Yes, it's "his house" - just seems to me, a guy like this, holding these types of meetings, back when I was a wee one, 40 years ago...

This guy would've had his nuts on a platter - my point is - what is good will be known as evil... and, vice versa.

And... btw, you're right. We should respect our hosts.

Who in their right mind is going to this meeting unless it affects public policy legally? Whether locally, or nationally?

You're right though Comrad - I saw it as psing in my cheerio's - I'm just sick of this stuff being the norm' now (especially in the media). I don't remember anybody having these conversations while I was growing up.

I guess I'm just stating the obvious - times have changed.

Well, Germany was "Hitler's house." Does that mean the German people, MY ancestors and family members who died because of that madman, were obligated to bite their tongues? Respect is one thing, but not speaking against someone you disagree with because you are in their "home" is an act of generosity that does you no favors.
