It is so hot that..................

It is really hot here in the Ozarks. I heard somebody say that it is so hot they saw a dog chasing a cat, and they were both walking. Another one said it was so hot that his corn field was full of popped corn.
You folks know any of these sayings?
No matter what, I'll bet the Devil is wondering what happened to his climate.

It was so hot this morning @ 5:30 AM when I got up that the gas fireplace had come on. We left windows open as we had and a storm front came through. Temp dropped to 55 and the fireplace was on. Pilot is now off.

AFA sayings, "it's so hot out there the swallows won't leave the shade to catch mosquitos" is the oddest I ever heard.

Got this in an e-mail a few days ago. It originated in Missouri!!

It's so dry in Texas that the Baptists are starting to baptize by sprinkling.
The Methodists are using Wet Wipes,
Teh Presbyterians are giving out rain checks,
and the Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water.

I was visiting on line with a buddy from Austin and he said he'd killed a mosquito that was carrying a canteen.

A friend in southweat Texas told me the chicken farmers were giving the chickens crushed ice to keep; them from laying hard-boiled eggs.

But just this week, here in Keller, a man said he saw a fire hydrant bribing a dog.
In Proctor lake another guy caught a 20 lb catfish that had ticks on it!

Now that's HOT and DRY.

Yep...it was so hot the other day I saw:
a rattlesnake carrying a canteen;
trees chasing down dogs for relief;
and when Mom took the clothes out of the washer they was already dried.
