Plainly put, yesterday sucked.

Started by driving from my house to Honesdale. Stop to get a bagel and coffee. Realize that I left my wallet at home. So no shopping, no nothing, no breakfast.

Drive back, get wallet. Driving back to Honesdale, Rt191 has recently been tarred and chipped (aka poor man's paving) by PENNDOT. Chip flies up and hits my windshield.

Get breakfast, go shopping, get home. Phone rings. Mrs. QD67. She's in Goshen NY. Car won't start. Tell her to call AAA. 45 minutes she's on her way. Tow truck guy said that the battery was bad.

She gets home. Go to Advanced Auto. Get battery. Go to neighbor's house who is retired mechanic. Get bad battery out. Realize that they gave me the wrong battery.

Turns out some 2018 GMC Acadias have stop/start feature and take a bigger battery. Hers doesn't have that.

Decide to call it a day. I'm tired and had enough. Go back to my house.

They last few days I have faintly smelled something dead under my side door steps. I get a flashlight and look. Nothing. My LP gas powered generator is nearby. Check the gas connections, nothing.

I notice that a few green bottle flies are buzzing around the regulator. Just like if it was a dead animal. Bingo. Regulator is leaking.

So I shut off the gas. Now, no hot water.

Today, I'm not doing anything. The battery can wait until Monday.
I'll call Modern Gas Tuesday, not paying for emergency service fees for someone to come out on a holiday weekend.

I'll drive Mrs QD67 to Goshen to watch the harness racing at the historic track. Not really my cuppa, but she always goes. So I'll be the good hubby.

I swear, I think this is Karma kicking me in the *** for being so happy about paying off the mortgage and cars this week.

When you go to the track, grab a beer and bet #3 on the nose in the seventh. If it's an Exacta, "baseball" #3, #7, and #5.

Whenever I'm having your kind of day, I watch a couple of episodes of the TV show "Cops" and just like that, I feel better
