I'm an old fart that got in the firearms game late. I'm now an avid recreational shooter (also getting into precision pistol, aka bullseye shooting).

I've become a S&W fan slowly over the last 10 years and now own and cherish the following S&W firearms (and shoot them often):

  1. Circa 1966 Model 15-2 4" blued.38spl equipped with target hammer and trigger (trigger pull is phenomenal in both SA and DA)
  2. Circa 1942 Victory .38spl
  3. Model 25-15 6.5" blued .45Colt
  4. Model 317 3" .22lr kit gun (so light it might float away...) I bought this gun for my wife... she absolutely loves it
  5. Model 41 .22lr Performance Center
  6. Original Shield 9mm
  7. Original Shield .45ACP (whoops... I no longer have... my grown son absconded with it--- after asking :) )

I look forward to learning a great deal and some interesting conversations about shooting sports

Welcome from Virginia

Another OF here just sayin welcome to the Forum. You simply won't find better info on anything S&W anywhere else in the "real" or the "digital" world.

One word of caution: You just don't seem to have enough S&W's to really, really, really enjoy the brand!

You will find (if you stick around here) that you "NEED" something from the late 1800's, the last century teens, 30's, OK your Victory covers the 40's, then the 50, 60 , 70 80....etc. et. al. ad. infintum

Pre locks, no locks, revolvers, semi's....this Forum has got experts on each and everyone that S&W ever made....then to top it off...we have access to Mr. Factory hisself.....Dr. Roy Jinks.

So.............please......go ahead and ask any question you wish, cause we are here to help, and by help I mean we will absolutely tell you where and how to spend your money...that's what did it for me: ask a question and the answer(s) are just enough intriguing to push you to buy that particular model, or a variation, and add another caliber to your ammo needs, and to have more fun in the process... exactly why some of us are known as "enablers":D

Again.......... Welcome from Virginia and may your slide down the slippery slope of S&W accumulation (aka collector) be swift and steady....remember....you can't stimulate the economy if you don't spend that check on something....might as well be Smith & Wesson.
