i used the S&W Forum system of contacting our legislators on gun control. Boy, did I get responses: The President, both senators, my Federal Representative, State Representative and State Governor. I got no responses when I used another syatem a month or so ago.

Of course, most of them were merely stating their position, with no attempt to counter the arguments we were submitting. However I believe that the number of people submitting messags will at least get counted and will prevent some of the more wild-eyed legislators from promoting extreme measures (Mr and Mrs North America: turn them all in).

One down side: now I'm on my federal reprsentative's e-mailing list and I'm getting all sorts of messages that I don't really want.

Did the same thing and got back the same thing. Lots of unwanted email. Typically there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails. Hope that helps

I have a couple of Class III weapons: I've been on a REALLY bad list for quite some time.

We are all on a list and if you don't believe that you are just naive. It is fairly common now to see a story on TV where the police or the FBI track a criminal by his cell phone use. All calls are now archived and available to authorities, as well as all email and text messages. This is not paranoid nor fatalistic thinking, just fact.
