in all categories of guns. Further broken down indicating make, barrel length and caliber. From revolvers, pistols, military type rifles, target type rifles, shotguns (O/U, autos, side by sides, pumps, etc.) field/skeet/trap to finally hunting rifles. We all have our likes and dislikes but it would be interesting to see what really sells well (and doesn't) country wide.

It would be interesting to see the numbers, but I don't know what you'd do with the information. Considering the current political climate, it should be obvious that a lot of people can be easily misguided.

I was talking to a guy at the local Academy about the ammo shortage. He said that he got to wondering about the sales volume on .380s after he couldn't get the ammo. He went back and looked at his sales figures and was shocked by how many he had sold.

I think we've got a bunch of new gun owners who are afraid of recoil, and want something small and cheap.

His display looked like mostly semi-autos, with only one little area of S&W and Taurus revolvers.

I guess there was a time when such stuff would have influenced me. But I don't buy into fads. I prefer what I like, and what others think doesn't mean much these days.

Does that mean I should be able to get a good deal on a .300 Weatherby Magnum?!?!
