Ordered this stuff for breakfast once in a hotel in Aberdeen. The waitresses did not say a word but stood out of my sight watching to see what I would do. I could not eat it. Worse than ludefiske.

My unit once trained at Camp Roberts CA with a battalion of British 'Territorials' the 51st volenteer foot, from Glascow. I asked their Sgt Major what haggis was like, after looking around to see if any of his troops were listening he said "It's bloody awful lad, avoid it if you can."

It is good with grits.

Of course anything is good with grits.;)
It just makes grits look good in comparison. ;)

Grits and haggis, I guess poke salad is next. followed by Limburger cheese, and ludefiske as a main course. Some very strange taste buds around here. Grits compared to the others has to be like a heavenly meal.

This quote in the article made me laugh out loud:

"We have had to put up with the U.S. version, which is made from beef and is bloody awful."
