For this Hurricane. 50 years on the clock this year here in Sunshine State.Seen alot of threads on this one. We got all stuff stowed and that alot of work .Biggest thing to is we always help each other out neighbor wise. Some here know I have one neighbor thats not so good . But all others we watch out for. Looks like all around here will leave. Biggest thing most of us will want to get back in A S A P. The bad neighbors like to damage and loot

I live in NE FL, SW of Jacksonville. All is calm here this morning. Gas is getting harder to get, water is harder yet. I-95 and I-75, the two main north-south interstates, are parking lots heading north as people leave south FL. Forecast for here is Irma will be a tired hurricane when it reaches this far north, but still damaging. Staying in place, Prepared and waiting.

I never again want to see if I can survive a hurricane after Katrina I know I will never ride it out again mother nature has no mercy for stupid people like me that decide they can live thru that type of storm

North central Florida here.........this is going to SUCK big time as it is coming right up the center of the state - and as wide as it is, EVERYONE is going to get hurt.............

Not a question of losing power, but for how long; same for water. Neighbors on either side are 90s........spent the day boarding up windows on three houses............but that's what you do.

Yes indeed we do 50 years in this state this year .We all watch out for our good neighbors.We are now north central too as of last year. 49 years right on the coast in central

I have a house in Wellington FL, western Palm Beach county. I've re-located to NC but I am concerned for my property. Power loss is a given, I have a 8.2 KW PV system that worries me as well, fingers crossed!

Maybe that's the only way to get the stubborn to move. If it's suicide for the residents to stay, then it's equally dangerous for first responders. I think the governor is just telling it like it is, Irma is going to kick the butts of any stupid humans that stand in her way..

The sad thing is when people come back home to find it Robbed and Looted
I hope the local LEO and National Guard are promptly on location to prevent this from happening
