Welcome to the "Carry Club". You won't go wrong with a J-Frame in your pocket every day, If you feel you need more this becomes a BUG (Back Up Gun). I like mine in a holster to keep it positioned for drawing, some of my friends don't use pocket holsters. Also I've found that in about 30 to 45 days of 24-7 carry you need a detailed cleaning of lint and crud inside as well as outside of any pocket gun. Use very little lube or a dry lube. Lube gun well before range sessions. J-frames are great dress up guns, when I married 34 years ago, my bride was given to me by her father, with a "Bodyguard" (also called a model 49) in his cumberbun. I daily carry a 49 , and also own models 36 and 638, which see service as BUGs. Dad has a matched pair of J-Frames in 357 that are Mag-na-ported, in left and right handed crossdraw holsters by Galco. I bought my wife a model 30 which is in 32 S&W Long but her artheritis won't let her use revolvers, so she uses a Glock 19 which goes well with her Prussian personality! Carry On, Ivan
