It's that time my friends. After 43 years of full-time pastoral ministry, I am retiring. My last Sunday will be the second Sunday of June. Hazel and I are busy sorting through, throwing away and boxing up for moving to Atlanta. We've got a little condo about a block away from my oldest grandson. He has autism and ... I think ... he needs me. So ... away we go!
Now, on to the Karma. As I go through the various odds and ends of this and that box of gun stuff, I'm finds bits and pieces of stuff that I think might be useful to members of the forum.
First up ... a little zip lock bag of Winchester .45-70 brass which I found one afternoon years ago when out rambling in the woods. Only found 17 pieces. Thought there would be three more but I just couldn't find them.
In the same big box of stuff I found a box of white paste board box of commercially produced bullets ... caliber .45, weight 300 grs., diameter .458, priced at $4.75 per 100. I managed to drop the box so, after taping the box up securely I then picked up all 100 bullets which I then figured out how to put into the box. They are big fat flat nosed whoppers that will whack the unmerciful tar out of whoever fires them and whatever they hit.
Now I know these are not so useful for revolvers, and I'm sure they are not at all suitable for little pop guns w/ magazines. But I think they will prove useful for whoever loads them in the brass over a suitable quantity of powder and then fires them out of a proper rifle. Sadly, primers are not included. If you can use this brass and these bullets, let me know. It's Thursday afternoon. I'll put the names in a Danish Wedding cookie can and let Hazel reach in and draw out a name next Thursday. Sincerely. bruce.
